On September 19, 2024, AI data analytics company DATAYOO APPLICATION CO., LTD. (DATAYOO) announced a new partnership with the Indonesia-based agritech firm PT ERATANI TEKNOLOGI NUSANTARA (Eratani). The collaboration aims to revolutionize farming in Indonesia by utilizing DATAYOO's cutting-edge FarmiSpace technology, which leverages satellite data to help farmers boost productivity and modernize farm management through digital transformation.
Founded in 2021, Eratani has rapidly emerged as a key player in Indonesia's agritech sector, focused on enhancing farmers' livelihoods by offering a blend of technology, resources, and financial aid. The company supports over 24,000 farmers across four provinces, providing them with funding, market access, and tools to boost agricultural productivity. In recognition of its impact, Eratani was named one of the top three agritech companies worldwide by the G20 Digital Innovation Alliance in 2023.
At the same time, DATAYOO has established itself as a leader in AI-powered precision agriculture, focusing on land data analysis and forecasting. Its technology has consistently supported higher crop yields and enhanced food security. Through this new partnership, DATAYOO will extend its expertise to Indonesian farmers by deploying its advanced satellite monitoring system, FarmiSpace.
Recent data from Indonesia’s Central Bureau of Statistics shows a 1.40% drop in the country’s rice production in 2023, largely due to inefficiencies in traditional farming practices. Through the use of FarmiSpace, DATAYOO and Eratani hope to reverse this trend by equipping farmers with real-time satellite data and precise analytics. FarmiSpace can analyze everything from land conditions and weather patterns to crop growth, helping farmers make informed decisions that optimize resources and improve overall efficiency.
Shaw Wu, CEO of DATAYOO, highlighted the importance of this partnership for both the company and Indonesian agriculture: “Partnering with Eratani marks a significant step for DATAYOO’s entry into Indonesia, and it opens up incredible opportunities for the country's agricultural sector. By using FarmiSpace, farmers will be able to manage their resources more efficiently, minimize errors, and increase their harvests. It’s a clear example of how data-driven technology can transform modern farming.”
FarmiSpace technology offers a 92% accuracy rate in rice condition image recognition and up to 99.8% accuracy in yield predictions. These precise insights allow farmers to plan every stage of the cultivation process with greater accuracy, reducing waste and maximizing productivity. By integrating this technology, Indonesian farmers can benefit from more efficient farming practices and significantly improved outcomes.
Andrew Soeherman, CEO of Eratani, expressed excitement about the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to partner with DATAYOO. Data-driven technology like FarmiSpace can truly transform how farmers approach land management, increasing productivity while minimizing risks. By making better-informed decisions through accurate data analysis, we can help farmers achieve more efficient processes and better harvests.”
Shaw Wu added: “Our goal is to empower farmers worldwide to better manage resources, boost productivity, and promote sustainability through AI and data analytics. Working with Eratani is a critical part of this mission, and we’re eager to see how we can expand tech-driven agriculture in Indonesia and beyond.”
This partnership is expected to set a new standard for the use of agricultural technology in Indonesia, offering a model for the country’s digital transformation in farming. As DATAYOO continues to innovate in precision agriculture, the company remains committed to advancing smart farming solutions and contributing to sustainable agricultural development on a global scale.
