【Meet Taipei 2024】Where Future Unicorns Gather - 460+ Global Startups Showcasing Innovation
Save the date! From November 21 to 23, 2024, Meet Taipei, Asia's largest innovation exhibition, is set to light up the Expo Dome at Taipei Expo Park.
This year’s theme, “TAIWAN +1,” highlights Taiwan’s role as a hub for innovation, fostering transformative opportunities in AI, deep tech, and global partnerships. With the “+1” concept, Meet Taipei aims to supercharge the startup ecosystem by building global connections and unlocking breakthrough solutions for a sustainable future.
Breaking Records with Global Participation
Meet Taipei 2024 will host 460+ startups, including teams from 18 countries like Japan and Hong Kong, marking the event’s largest-ever international turnout. Around 25% of exhibitors are global teams, reflecting Meet Taipei’s growing influence as a must-attend event for Asia’s innovation leaders.
Alongside these startups, 31 corporate partners, 9 accelerators, and key government agencies like the National Development Council and Taiwan Stock Exchange will join forces to propel collaboration and resource-sharing across the innovation ecosystem.
The opening ceremony will feature distinguished guests, including Ho Fei-Peng (Honorary Publisher, Business Next), Jeremy Cornforth (AIT Deputy Director), and Takashi Hattori (Deputy Representative, Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association).
A highlight will be the “Taiwan +1 Global Partnership Declaration,” a symbolic alliance with international organizations like Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), Thailand’s Techsauce, and leading local accelerators, all dedicated to advancing AI innovation and strengthening international ties.
Shaping the Future of AI, Sustainability, and Technology
The Meet Taipei Innovation and Startup Trend Forum will delve into Taiwan’s pivotal role in the global innovation ecosystem. Esteemed speakers like James Kalani Lee (General Manager, Google Startups & AI) and John Sechrest (Founder, Seattle Angel Conference) will discuss topics ranging from AI’s soft power and global tech competitiveness to the future of collaborative innovation. Entrepreneurs will gain valuable insights to refine their strategies for global success.
The spotlight will also shine on sustainability at the Sustainable Innovation Lecture Series, addressing the challenges of AI’s growing energy demands. Under the theme “Innovative Tech for a Green Future: Can Sustainable Energy Keep Up?”, leaders like Lichuan Chang (CEO, Clear Energy Asia) will explore cutting-edge solutions in energy efficiency and the future of hydrogen power. A high-level summit will provide actionable strategies for startups to drive energy innovation and lead the charge toward a more sustainable future.
Web3 Takes Center Stage
As Web3 continues to redefine trust, value, and ownership, Meet Taipei will unveil its much-anticipated “Top 30 Web3 Influencers” list, curated by Business Next’s WEB3+ editorial team. For the first time, the event will spotlight the Top 10 Asia-Pacific Influencers and Top 10 Web3 Events of the Year, offering attendees a snapshot of industry-shaping trends. On November 23, a WEB3+ Meetup will feature talks by global thought leaders like John Cho (Marketing President, Korea’s KaiaDLT Foundation), presenting fresh international perspectives.
The Meet Neo Star Demo Show, one of the event’s key features, will showcase 30 elite startup teams competing in a two-stage challenge. The grand finale will see startups pitch in English, competing for prestigious awards like the Grand Jury Prize, while preparing to scale their innovations onto the global stage.
