Kaohsiung, Taiwan, August 22–23, 2025 – The fifth edition of Meet Greater South will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center North Hall, bringing together around 300 startups from across Taiwan and abroad. This year’s program focuses on artificial intelligence, semiconductors, sustainability, and smart manufacturing. The event offers a stage where international and local teams can share ideas, meet investors, and build new collaborations.
Kaohsiung is undergoing a transformation as global technology companies such as TSMC, AMD, and NVIDIA establish operations in the city. Meet Greater South reflects this momentum by providing a space where innovation in Southern Taiwan connects with international perspectives.
The two-day festival includes a wide range of forums and networking activities, with several sessions especially relevant to international visitors.
The Global Founders’ Show & Tell will take place on August 23 from 10:30 to 12:30 in the Co-creation Space. Conducted entirely in English, this program invites founders from different countries to present their ideas. Companies such as TAC Dynamics, Fortune Ai, Ailytics, Dentscape, and Kimaru AI will share their work and answer questions from the audience.
On August 22, from 14:00 to 17:30, the AI & Semiconductor Economy Forum convenes at the Sunrise Stage. Experts, including Korea’s DEEPX and other international and local voices, will explore industry transformation and AI–semiconductor trends. While the primary language is Mandarin, international presenters may speak in English.
Also on August 22, from 14:00 to 17:00, the Investor Matchmaking Sessions take place in the Matchmaking Space. This program supports one-on-one meetings between startups and notable investors like CDIB Capital Innovation Accelerator, Darwin Ventures, Hotung Group, and Cathay Venture. Conversations may occur in Mandarin or English, depending on participants.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the Global Pavilion, which gathers 31 international startups from nine different countries. Teams from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, the Philippines, and Canada will present their solutions. Their work covers a wide spectrum, including AI-powered video editing, robotics, smart healthcare, energy management, and financial technologies.
The Global Pavilion provides a focal point where visitors can meet founders from diverse backgrounds and explore how innovations from around the world connect with opportunities in Taiwan. For many of these companies, this is their first step into the Taiwanese and Asian markets, creating a valuable setting for cultural exchange and potential collaboration.
Since its beginning, Meet Greater South has welcomed more than 50,000 participants and facilitated over 250 business matchmaking sessions. The 2025 edition continues this role by offering a platform where startups, investors, and partners from around the world can come together.
With 300 teams presenting, including 31 in the Global Pavilion, the event invites visitors to discover how technology, sustainability, and creativity are shaping the future of Southern Taiwan.
With 300 startups from nine countries gathering in Kaohsiung, Meet Greater South 2025 is a chance to see how ideas connect across borders. Visitors are invited to join the sessions, meet the people behind the projects, and take part in an open exchange of new possibilities.
