Organized by Business Next and Meet Startup, the annual flagship event for innovation and entrepreneurship in Asia 2025 Meet Taipei will take place from November 20 to 22 at Taipei Expo Dome.
This year, the event’s central theme is "Dancing with AI," reflecting the rapid changes brought on by AI worldwide. Meet Taipei will gather more than 400 startup teams from 19 countries, along with 16 government agencies and 7 major corporate pavilions. The event highlights how Taiwan’s startup ecosystem is leveraging its unique position at the intersection of geopolitics and semiconductor hardware, building vital connections from new ideas to real resources, and establishing a strategic foothold in the global innovation landscape.
At the same time, leading companies like MediaTek, Wistron, and Delta Electronics are embracing open collaboration. The government is also rolling out a multibillion-dollar AI strategy through the Ministry of Digital Affairs. These combined efforts—between business and policy—are driving the industry forward, showcasing a shared vision where public and private sectors work together and pool resources for mutual benefit.
This year, Meet Taipei features 23 themed pavilions, covering everything from core technologies and global partnerships to cross-industry applications. The event highlights the wide-ranging innovation coming from Taiwan’s businesses, government, and academic sectors.
At the heart of the expo are several key drivers of industry development. Among them, the Taiwan Stock Exchange has set up the "Innovation Unicorn Ecosystem - TWSE Pavilion," spotlighting major reforms to the Taiwan Innovation Board (TIB). To make these changes more tangible, the expo is introducing the unicorn mascot—symbolizing startup growth and transformation—for the first time, underscoring the Stock Exchange’s commitment to helping startups reach the capital markets.
At the 5G Accelerator Zone, Chunghwa Telecom is showcasing nine promising teams that focus on digital resilience, intelligent solutions, and a sustainable future. These exhibits demonstrate the latest breakthroughs in AI and 5G. Deloitte’s startup services, which have been supporting new ventures since 2015, are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year. The Spring Buds Startup Zone brings together experts from fields such as AI, major enterprises, investment, and accounting. Their mission is to nurture innovation, helping startups build strong foundations, grow internationally, and ultimately achieve successful exits.
Innovation at the event also reaches into many different areas. The Sports Administration’s Taiwan Brand International Competition Pavilion features teams like SPOT, which offers an AI-powered platform for real-time video automation. The pavilion’s focus is on city branding and sports technology. The Qualcomm Taiwan Innovation Contest Pavilion brings together ten award-winning teams from fields such as biotech, AI, and mobility, including Calyx, MoBagel, and MOOVO. This diversity highlights the dynamic and creative energy driving Taiwan’s innovation scene.
Beyond showcasing a wide range of cross-industry applications, this year’s expo is also notable for the depth of its global connections.
This year, the “CCIA x Garage+ Taiwan’s Strongest Startup Collaboration” pavilion, jointly organized by CDIB Accelerator and Garage+, will continue to deepen Taiwan-Japan cooperation and share their achievements in expanding investment into Fukuoka, Japan. The Canada Startup Tech Accelerator (CTA), run by the Canadian government, is also making its first appearance at the event, bringing selected teams to connect with Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem and foster real cross-border business opportunities. In addition, government agencies such as the National Development Council, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, the Intellectual Property Office, the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and the Taiwan Creative Content Agency are all participating. Together, they are working toward a shared goal—uniting public and private resources to support the entire community.
This wave of innovation is not just about sparking new ideas; it is a true feast for all the senses.
For 2025 Meet Taipei, the Meet Startup team has set up a special “Tasty Corner,” expanding on the local connections built during Meet Greater South and Meet Hualien earlier this year. The event brings together some of Taiwan’s most popular food brands, such as the banquet-level sticky rice from OneGu Glutinous Rice in Kaohsiung , Linji Fish Balls and Taroko Miracle Ferns from Hualien, and several others. With seven crowd favorites featured, Meet Taipei has become an event that links the whole island and welcomes guests from around the world, turning innovation and entrepreneurship into a shared experience.
Meet Taipei is more than just an exhibition. With the theme “Dancing with AI,” the event aims to create a space where startups, corporations, investors, and government agencies can all discover how to move forward with AI. Whether it is accelerating AI adoption or building bridges to connect with the world, Meet Taipei is the place to witness the beginning of every new possibility.
