2025 Meet Neo Star Top 30 Announced! Three Major Trends: AI in Every Industry, the Rise of Vibe Coding, and More
Meet Neo Star, the most influential list in Taiwan’s startup community, was officially announced on the 26th of September.
The 2025 Top 30 reveals that AI has already made its way into all industries, especially the medical field. Meanwhile, startups in deep tech—focused on innovative technologies—as well as those in sectors tied to everyday life, such as food and entertainment, also appear on the list. This reflects three major trends currently shaping Taiwan’s startup scene: AI adoption across all sectors, the continued deepening of smart healthcare applications, and the rise of “Vibe Coding” leading a new wave among developers.
The 2025 “Meet Neo Star” was compiled by Business Next and Meet after two years of observation. From September 2023 to the end of August 2025, more than 230 startup teams were interviewed or closely followed. Through two rounds of in-depth discussion, 30 of the most promising startups were ultimately selected as this year’s featured rising stars.
The selected startups will showcase their innovations in two rounds at the Neo Star Demo Show during the Meet Taipei Startup Festival, competing for the Best Startup title, the Grand Jury Award, and other honors and resources.
Trend 1: AI is Transforming Every Industry, from Business Process Optimization to Food and Agriculture Innovation
From the Neo Star list, it’s evident that over 66% of the featured startups already use AI technology as the foundation of their services. The trend of AI penetrating all industries is becoming a reality, fundamentally changing workflows and business value across sectors.
In the enterprise services sector, companies like Pax are using AI to automate complex cross-border customs and tax refund processes; Deeli AI has developed an intelligent engine that condenses months of technical investment evaluation into just minutes; and Tenfold AI is dedicated to automating complicated workflows with AI Agents—all showing tremendous potential.
AI is also making inroads into traditional industries, bringing unexpected innovation. In agri-food technology, KIAO farming uses IoT information systems to achieve precision agriculture, while Shoulder2 Intelligence is introducing AIoT technology into livestock farming. These cases prove that AI is becoming a core driver of industrial upgrades across every corner of the market.
Trend 2: Smart Healthcare Applications Deepen, Solving Real Clinical Challenges
The field most deeply integrated with AI is healthcare. These teams are no longer focused on isolated breakthroughs; instead, they are embedding AI technologies into a wider range of clinical scenarios.
MesoView’s real-time, slide-free pathology imaging system and MedicalTek’s 3D endoscope system both enable AI to become a doctor’s “second pair of eyes” during surgery and diagnosis. DeepRad.AI focuses on specialized applications such as AI interpretation of pulmonary calcium scores, while The One AI Technology uses open-source models to create solutions tailored to local needs. These examples demonstrate the expanding breadth and depth of AI in healthcare.
Trend 3: The Rise of "Vibe Coding" and a New Generation of Developer Tools
As AI becomes mainstream, the bottleneck for developers is fundamentally shifting: coding is no longer the challenge—the real questions now are how to deploy and how to review. This new wave, known as Vibe Coding, is giving rise to a brand-new ecosystem of developer tools.
To tackle deployment bottlenecks, the startup Zeabur has paved the “last mile” for developers from code to production. As AI-generated code and data surge, review becomes the next major hurdle. Recce, founded by g0v co-founder CL Kao, has engineered a code review process that shortens data review time for teams by 90%.
Thirty Startups Take the Stage at Meet Taipei, Competing for Top Honors
From business process innovation to smart healthcare and a more complete developer toolchain, this year’s Meet Neo Star list is more than just a showcase of 30 promising startups. It paints a complete blueprint of an innovation ecosystem—from applications to empowerment, from cloud to hardware.

Startups selected for the “Meet Neo Star” program will receive a range of resources and awards jointly provided by Business Next and other partners, including:
- A booth in the Neo Star section at Meet Taipei Startup Festival
- Media exposure in the December issue of Business Next magazine
- The opportunity to pitch on the Demo Show stage to a panel of domestic and international investors and corporate representatives, competing for funding and various resources within a 6-minute pitch
The Neo Star Demo Show will be held at the Meet Taipei Startup Festival. On the opening day (November 20), the group Demo Pitch semifinals will take place, where 10 startups will be selected to advance to the final round on the second day (November 21), competing for the title of Best Startup and other top prizes and resources.
