The 2025 Garage+ Startup Global Program has announced its selected teams. This year, 28 startups from 9 countries stood out, showcasing the diversity and depth of global innovation.
The winning cohort represents a cross-section of some of the most advanced sectors in technology, ranging from artificial intelligence and semiconductors to quantum computing, biomedical innovation, ESG sustainability, and optoelectronic materials. Over the coming three months, these startups will engage closely with Taiwan’s industrial ecosystem, seeking out new opportunities for technical collaboration and market expansion.
Garage+ was founded by the Epoch Foundation and is dedicated to helping global startups connect with the Asian market. Through the Startup Global Program, Garage+ invites entrepreneurial teams from around the world to Taiwan each year, linking them with manufacturing, technology, and financial resources to build an international innovation ecosystem.
This year, over 280 startups from the United States, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada, Portugal, Poland, Malaysia, and more competed for a place, and ultimately 28 teams were selected.
Compared to 2024, this year’s selected international teams have a clear focus on AI and quantum technology. BEIT (from the US and Poland) is building a next-generation drug discovery platform using quantum-inspired algorithms to accelerate molecular modeling and new drug design. CLIKA offers a platform for compressing and accelerating AI models, helping enterprises efficiently run large AI models in cloud and edge environments.
Also focused on AI applications, Cardiomo (Netherlands) has developed a wearable cardiac monitoring device that uses AI analytics to provide real-time alerts for heart disease, reflecting the trend of smart healthcare.
In semiconductors and materials, FOX (Japan) uses gallium oxide power device technology to enable efficient, low-power chips. AirMembrane and NanoChemix (both Japan) are innovating in graphene and nanophotonic materials. DigithoTechnologies from Canada is recognized for its “reprogrammable photomask” technology, seen as a key solution to reducing AI chip manufacturing costs.
In the energy and sustainability sector, Enline (Portugal) integrates AI and digital twin technology to help the energy industry improve operational efficiency and stability. GorillaLink (USA/Israel) is building an AI-native satellite communication platform, ushering in a new era of real-time connectivity for logistics and defense.
In addition to the international teams, this year’s 14 selected Taiwanese startups also show strong momentum across ESG, AIoT, biomedical, and next-generation semiconductors. Aegiverse combines fiber optic gyroscopes and AI data fusion for high-precision inertial navigation solutions. Agriblutec promotes sustainable transformation in agriculture and energy management with a decentralized AIoT framework. PETcision’s genetic testing platform for pet cancer demonstrates Taiwan’s innovative potential in the integration of life sciences and big data.
mesoView and LTPASolution bring biomedical technologies into clinical and rehabilitation scenarios. MetaRosetta and Phasetrum apply nanophotonics and RF chip design to enter the global supply chain. CocoMart and BRICKSDISPLAY exemplify successful SaaS and AI applications, creating new models for restaurant supply chains and smart retail displays, respectively.
According to Garage+, the selected teams will receive mentorship from industry experts and corporate partners during the three-month program. They will also participate in high-level business matchmaking with more than 40 companies, including Wistron, Quanta, Delta Electronics, Bank SinoPac Venture Capital, and CDIB Capital, promoting substantive collaborations. Last year, more than one-third of the startups successfully established partnerships or investment relationships in Taiwan, demonstrating the program’s strong appeal for global innovation landing in the Asian market.
Since its launch in 2015, the Garage+ Startup Global Program has been supported by the National Development Council and the Asia Silicon Valley Development Plan. The program has become an important hub for innovation and investment in Asia, attracting over 3,300 applications worldwide and helping more than 316 startups enter the Asian market.
This year’s selected teams will showcase their latest technologies and collaborative achievements at the annual Open House exhibition in Taipei on December 9.
